Sultanpur district bestowed with two KVKs ie Kamla Nehru Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sultanpur II. Kamla Nehru Krishi Vigyan Kendra was established by the Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust in 1976-97 and was the first KVK of the Uttar Pradesh. Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sultanpur II was established in 2018 under the administrative control of Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya with 100% financed by Government of India. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Sultanpur II) is a grass root level institution designed and devoted to impart need-based and skill-oriented vocational trainings to the practicing farmers, in-service extension personnel and to those who wish to start in for self-employment through "learning by doing". This Kendra was established on July, 2018 keeping in mind to accelerate the agricultural production and also to improve the socio-economic conditions of the farming community of Sultanpur district.

The KVK is located at village Barasin, near Kurwar in the Sultanpur District of Uttar Pradesh at Sultanpur – Haliyapur road about 137 kilometers from Lucknow, the state capital and 18 kilometers from Sultanpur district headquarter. The elevation of Barasin is 755 meters above mean sea level. The KVK is located at 260368’N latitude and 810947’E longitude near the bank of Gomati river. Out of five tehsils of the district, three tehsils (Baldirai, Lambhua and Sadar) were allotted to KVK, Sultanpur II and thus activities of KVK were spread over in 07 blocks namely Baldirai, Bhadaiyan, Dhanpatganj, Dubeypur, Kurwar, Lambhua, and Pratappur Kamaicha. Out of total 986 panchayats in the district, 477 panchayats are under this KVK.
